Family outings and activities near Riverside

Summer holidays at Riverside give you lots of options - from staying onsite enjoying our secluded playing field and paddling in the river, to getting out and about locally.

The Elan Valley is a favourite daytrip. It’s just 40 minutes away, with a Visitor Centre, children's play area, bike hire, family-friendly walking trails, and a café, all set in spectacular scenery. The boating lake at Llandrindod Wells is popular too, with a café, level walks, play areas, and pedal boats, kayaks, and paddleboards for hire.

For free activities, there’s a large playground and open space near the main carpark in Builth Wells and a smaller playground at Llanwrtyd Wells . Within a few miles we have woodland walks and riverside picnic areas where you can relax in lovely countryside.
