We can advise where you can take your dog for a walk, as we don’t own the fields that surround us. There are lovely selection of dog walks locally.

Take a walk along the river, go paddling or swimming, hire a firepit and toast marshmallows, sit back and enjoy the amazing views (including star-gazing in one of the darkest night sky areas in Europe) - or use this beautiful site as a base for walking, cycling, canoeing, birdwatching, and other outdoor activities.
The modern toilet block has hot showers, a laundry room, and under-cover washing-up areas, all of which are cleaned frequently. A large wooden gazebo with seating and electricity is great for sitting in the shade (or sheltering if it rains!)
The National Cycle Network runs past the site, and there are long distance paths and local footpaths. Pony trekking, alpaca trekking, golf courses, red kite feeding, the Elan Valley and the Brecon Beacons are all an easy drive from Riverside.
The village of Llangammarch Wells is a few minutes’ walk up the drive. It has a Post Office/small shop. There’s also a platform on the scenic single-track Heart of Wales Railway Line which takes you north to Llandrindod Wells (with its boating lake), Craven Arms, Church Stretton and Shrewsbury, and south to Swansea on the coast.
A regular bus goes from Llangammarch into Builth Wells (8 miles) where there are lots of independent shops, pubs, cafes, take-aways, an indoor swimming pool, and a supermarket.
Many of our visitors return year after year to enjoy the tranquility and beauty of the site.

Riverside is a family run site.
We were drawn to Riverside by the same things that bring our visitors here: the peace and quiet, the beautiful scenery, and the wonderful setting.
It’s a privilege to run this lovely site, it’s a very special place and we’re delighted to share it with you.
We look forward to welcoming you and showing you everything Riverside has to offer.
